The Muslim community in south suburbs of Chicago is very diverse and vibrant. In addition there is a very welcoming larger American community in the vicinity very receptive to Islam and Muslims. CITCD strives to serve the community by providing an avenue for Islamic education and community development. Center for Islamic Teachings and Community Development (CITCD) is an Illinois based Non-Profit organization registered with the IRS as a 501(C)(3) and all donations to the organization are tax deductible.
Our Mission
In view of the growing Islamic community in South suburbs of greater Chicago, an effort is being made to establish an institution to serve our future educational, social and intellectual needs. To achieve this goal CITCD was formed. We aim to provide a platform for teaching fundamentals of Islam and serve the community through social service.
