Al-Jazari Institute for Arabic and Islamic Sciences was founded in response to the growing need for Islamic education in America. Given the current situation and challenges we find ourselves in, it is now more important than ever, that we “The Muslims” here in MN – and particularly our English speaking audience – have a fundamental understanding of Islam, to remain firm in our faith. The objective of the Arabic program is as follows: to increase student's competency in all four modalities of language development; reading comprehension, writing, speaking and listening while at the same time incorporating various aspects of Arab culture. The textbook used in the program covers topics related to Islamic studies and equips students with the necessary vocabulary to discuss contemporary issues. Our vision, is to produce a new generation of Muslim leaders, well versed in the Islamic Sciences who embody the spirit of Islam and can continue it is legacy in America and beyond.
Al-Jazari Institute for Arabic and Islamic Sciences Program
We believe it is crucial, to prepare students first, by providing them the basics of Arabic language and the fundamentals of the Islamic Sciences. Students who complete Al-Jazari Institute will receive an associates degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies and can continue towards advanced degrees with our scholars at the Islamic University in Minnesota or in other universities abroad.

Arabic Language Program
The objective of the Arabic program is as follows: to increase student's competency in all four modalities of language development; reading comprehension, writing, speaking and listening while at the same time incorporating various aspects of Arab culture. The primary text that will be utilized is Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayka written by Dr. Abdul Rahman Ibn Ibrahim Al-Fawzan, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Tahir Hussain, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Khaliq Muhamad Fadhl, and edited by Dr. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Rahman Al-Shaikh, published in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by "Arabic For All".
This book is divided into four levels, namely the Primary Level, the Intermediate Level, and the Advanced I and Advanced II. The method used in this book is modern learning methods, such as the principles of learning and teaching foreign languages while taking into account the special and unique characteristics of Arabic.
Islamic Studies Program
Upon completing the Arabic program, Al-Jazari Institute provides courses in Islamic sciences designed to facilitate Islamic knowledge to the students in Arabic. The main objective behind establishing the Intermediate Islamic Study Program is to educate Muslims about matters in their faith that they cannot be ignorant about and to spread and preserve sound Islamic knowledge. The Islamic Studies program will be based on the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam, in its purest form and according to the understanding of the best of generations, presented in a modern facilitated manner and produced professionally.
The Al-Jazari Institute Intermediate Islamic Sciences Program teaches seven Islamic subjects, namely: Islamic Creed, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Prophetic Biography, Arabic language, and Islamic Ethics.
The program provides all other procedures required to complete the process of education, like delivering the curriculum in text form and conducting weekly and monthly exams. The program will also provide follow-up with students and provide an excellent communication process between the students and the faculty. The entire period of the Islamic Studies Program is two years, which is divided into four semesters. Upon completion, the student qualifies to continue to the Al-Jazari Institute Advanced Islamic Sciences Program where students will study under our esteemed scholars in higher studies.
